Getting to Karelia by train is possible from Moscow (~15 hours train ride Moscow to Petrozavodsk), St. Petersburg (~7-8 hours train ride St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk), Murmansk (~21 hours train ride Murmansk to Petrozavodsk) and other cities such as Veliki Novgorod and Minsk.
All trains to or from Murmansk stop at the major train stations of Karelia, such as Petrozavodsk, Kondopoga, Medvezhyegorsk, Segezha, Belomorsk, Kem and Loikhi.
