Kamchatka. Generously endowed with various treasures of the Nature, Kamchatka is alluring and exotic place. The unique combination of fantastic landscapes and rare wildlife makes these nooks of Russia a real "Promised Land" for exploration.
Kuril Islands stretch for 1250 km from the southern tip of Kamchatka southwards to the Japanese island of Hokkaido. The chain consists of 22 main islands (most of which are volcanically active) and around 30 smaller islets. Besides being a highly active geothermal area, this region is well-known for its abundant and diverse wildlife. It really is a Heaven for birders. Larga, Harbor Seal, rare Sea Otter, Steller's Sea Lion, Orca, Minke Whale are the examples of diverse marine life.
