
Arkhangelsk region is situated in the north of the European part of Russia.
The Region is washed by the White Sea, the Barents Sea and the Kara Sea.
The total population is 1,3 million people, including local minorities - Nenets and Komi people.
The capital of the region is the city of Arkhangelsk with the population of 360 thousand people.
The main places of interest of Arkhangelsk region are the city of Arkhangelsk,
the town of Kargopol with its historical churches,
the museum of wooden architecture Malye Korely, Nenets region where Nenets reindeer breeders live and
Kenozersky National Park.
