Russian Arctic Trips. Icebreaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (c) PAV team "Kapitan Dranitsyn" is a powerful conventional propelled icebreaker of 10,471 tons displacement, 24,000 h.p. capacity. with hull thickness of 45mm, designed for the challenging conditions in the seas of Northern Siberia. The icebreaker is equipped with the best satellite navigation system and communication facility, including the convenient phone/fax - Inmarsat/Iridium.

"Kapitan Dranitsyn" is intended to work in the conditions of Northern Sea Route and the Baltic Sea. Since 1993 this icebreaker fulfils the cruises to the most remote places of our planet. She was modified and achieved the class as a passenger vessel in addition to all the international certificates. "Kapitan Dranitsyn" has 49 comfortable cabins for 100 passengers. All cabins have: big shower rooms with WC, a desk and beds. Public places include spacious drawing rooms, bars, heated swimming pool, library, gym and sauna. From the navigation bridge and all the decks you can enjoy excellent views. The vessel has a library, the lift and a small infirmary.

Qualified chefs prepare varied international cuisine, and experienced staff attends your needs.

"Kapitan Dranitsyn" is operated by Russian crew of around 60, all highly experienced in ice navigation. Russian captains are recognised experts in Polar orientation. They are instructed to provide a safe and memorable voyage.
